Mark Reilly serves as Senior Vice President of Government and Regulatory Relations for Comcast’s Northeast Division. In this position, he oversees all government relations, public policy, community relations, public relations, local franchising and state legislative matters for Comcast in five New England states, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and the District of Columbia.
Mr. Reilly brings more than seventeen years of cable industry experience to this role, holding various government, community, legal and public affairs positions with Comcast and its predecessor companies, including Continental Cablevision, MediaOne and AT&T Broadband. Mr. Reilly has also been a guest lecturer at Boston University’s College of Communications.
Prior to entering the cable industry, Mr. Reilly was Deputy Secretary of State for the Massachusetts Securities Division. In that role, he was responsible for legal, regulatory and legislative issues and managed the staff responsible for the registration of securities and registration of those individuals who sell securities or offer investment advice as well as enforcement prosecution for violations of the state’s securities laws. From 1989 to 1991, Mr. Reilly worked as an associate in the law firm of Horvitz & Brilhante. He began his career as Chief of Staff to then State Representative Joan Menard for four years.
A native of Taunton, Massachusetts, he received his bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University and his law degree from New England School of Law. He and his wife reside in Boxford, MA, with their two daughters.
