Candy Lawson serves as Corporate Executive Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer & Senior Deputy General Counsel of Comcast Corporation. In this role, Candy is responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing the company’s internal policies, procedures, and compliance with laws, regulations, and contracts domestically and internationally across Comcast, NBCUniversal, and Sky.
Prior to joining Comcast, Candy held senior legal and compliance roles at The Walt Disney Company, 21st Century Fox and News Corporation, where she was responsible for overseeing the implementation of enhanced compliance programs, responding to government investigations and inquiries, and advising on strategies to mitigate legal and compliance risk across all business areas of those companies globally. Previously, Candy was the anti-corruption counsel for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa at Morgan Stanley and, prior to that, a litigator at Davis Polk & Wardwell specializing in white collar criminal defense, regulatory enforcement matters and internal investigations.
Candy earned a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. Candy is based in London and also works at Comcast’s headquarters in Philadelphia.
