Jon serves as Chief Growth Officer for the residential businesses of Comcast’s Connectivity & Platforms segment that reaches more than 64 million homes and businesses in the U.S. In this role, he leads the product and brand strategy across connectivity, wireless and entertainment as well as sales, marketing, acquisition, retention and base management for Comcast’s domestic businesses.
Gieselman has nearly three decades of experience building and leading marketing, sales, and consumer engagement at major technology and media companies. His unique background blends deep analytical, digital and consumer/B2B marketing expertise, with design, creative and messaging.
Jon most recently served as President of Expedia Brands, leading all of Expedia Group’s consumer-facing businesses globally. He was instrumental in unifying the company’s go-to-market strategy across its 21 different brands, helped lead the company’s digital transformation, created a unique loyalty construct to keep consumers within EG’s family of brands, and transformed the global organization. Before joining Expedia, Jon held significant leadership roles at major brands, including Vice President of Marketing at Apple where he built the marketing function that helped drive hundreds of millions of subscribers across App Store, TV+, Music, Apple Pay, Books, News, Podcasts and Maps. He also spent more than a decade as Senior Vice President of Marketing at DIRECTV, helping to grow the business into the largest pay-TV distributor in the world and has held leadership roles in retail, television and fashion.
Jon was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Achievement in 2009 and is the winner of 28 Cannes Lions. He has received more than 35 Promax awards for television creative and the 2002 International Broadcasting Award: Hollywood Radio & Television Society. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College and an MBA in Marketing & Strategy.
