John Demming is Senior Vice President of Corporate and Financial Communications for Comcast Corporation. He is responsible for the company’s strategic communications on mergers and acquisitions, quarterly earnings results, financings, venture capital investments, and other transactions. Additionally, he leads communications on Comcast Cable’s programming agreements with television networks and its Business Services broadband and connectivity products. He also prepares executive communications and oversees Comcast’s communications on environment and corporate governance. John works closely with NBCUniversal, Universal Parks & Resorts, Universal Pictures, Sky, and Comcast Spectacor on communications pertaining to their content, sports, and other businesses, and their investments.

During his career at Comcast, John has managed communications pertaining to several significant company transactions, including Comcast’s acquisition of NBCUniversal, Comcast's purchase of Sky plc, Comcast's agreement with Disney on Hulu's Governance and Ownership, Comcast’s SpectrumCo asset sale and MVNO agreement with Verizon Wireless, NBCUniversal’s acquisition of DreamWorks Animation, and multiple other company investments and acquisitions.

Prior to joining Comcast in 2007, John spent nearly 10 years at Vanguard as the company grew into one of the world’s largest investment management companies, serving as a company spokesperson and leading media activities pertaining to institutional investors, exchange-traded funds, the performance of the financial markets, and several retail investment products. Before that, he worked in financial communications at The Tierney Group in Philadelphia and in the corporate finance group at Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart in New York.

John holds a BA from the University of Pittsburgh and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University. He is on the board of directors of the Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance (MANNA), a non-profit organization that delivers nutritious, medically appropriate meals to people with life-threatening illnesses. He is a past president of the National Investor Relations Institute’s Philadelphia Chapter and currently serves as president of an American Athletic Union (AAU) youth basketball club and co-head of the Conestoga High School Sailing Team.
