Micah Hawk is the West Division Vice President of Human Resources. In this role, Micah leads all functions of the Human Resources team including talent management, employee engagement, performance management, employee development, internal communications and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to his current role, Micah served as the Vice President of Human Resources in Comcast’s California Region. During his four years leading HR for the California region, he and his team increased the region’s internal promotion rate for leadership and achieved record-level employee engagement and satisfaction scores.
Micah joined the California Region in June 2011 from Comcast’s corporate office where he held the role of Vice President of HR Shared Services. In this role, he built out the Company’s employee service center, back office HR support, and accompanying processes in support of a major HR transformation.
Prior to joining Comcast, Micah worked for Walmart Stores, Inc. for more than 17 years. While there, he led various operational, merchandise, and supporting functions. With Walmart, he last held the position of Vice President of Human Resources, where he led Human Resources efforts for the Western U.S., along with supporting headquarter-based groups.
Micah has served on the board of directors for Stride, an Oakland based non-profit, and previously served on the board for Youthbridge, based in NW Arkansas, and the MBA Advisory Board for the University of Arkansas.
Micah graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Master’s degree in Business Administration. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin, Oshkosh.
