Xfinity and Tile Make It Easier to Find Your Stuff

We’re super proud of the work we do to solve everyday problems for customers. Americans spend more than 15 minutes a day looking for lost and misplaced belongings, so we’re working with Tile to help.

How do we do it?

We’ve made it possible for Tiles to connect to millions of Xfinity devices – like xFi Gateways and X1 and Flex set top boxes – that are equipped with Bluetooth. These Xfinity devices will now be a part of the Tile network to help more accurately locate lost Tiles so you can find your wallet, keys or backpack using the Tile app. Basically, we’re helping make the world’s largest lost and found network bigger, better and more accurate so you can find misplaced items faster than ever before.

But we didn’t stop there...

Our customers can now use their Xfinity X1 Voice Remote to audibly ring their Tile devices making it even easier to find lost items nearby. This new feature builds on a capability we launched in 2018 that displays the location of lost Tiles on the television, also using the X1 Voice Remote. Now, with the new ring functionality, the experience of Xfinity customers using Tile to keep track of their personal items will be even better.

Customers can ring their Tile devices by saying things like:

  • “Xfinity Home, find my keys.”
  • “Xfinity Home, where is my wallet?”
  • “Xfinity Home, find Jocelyn’s phone.”
  • “Xfinity Home, where is my backpack?”

Xfinity customers with the X1 Voice Remote can easily add and search for their Tiles by downloading the Xfinity Home app (iOS or Android) and following the prompts to link their Tile account.
