Over the last year, we have worked hard to keep all our customers connected to the Internet. And we continue to support our customers by providing free Internet Essentials for 60 days; giving everyone (customers and non-customers alike) access to 1.5 million public WiFi hotspots for free; working with cities and schools to connect K-12 students at home; and providing free WiFi via our Lift Zones at hundreds of community centers nationwide. 

We’ve learned a lot during this time, and we thank our customers for trusting in Xfinity, as our services have never been more important for our customers so they can work, learn, and enjoy entertainment from the safety of their home.

With that in mind, we are delaying implementation of our new data plan in our Northeast markets until 2022. We recognize that our data plan was new for our customers in the Northeast, and while only a very small percentage of customers need additional data, we are providing them with more time to become familiar with the new plan.

Since 2017, we’ve invested over $15B in our network to ensure that it delivers reliable and stable Internet for our customers. We are proud of how our employees and our network performed over the last year. And we continue to invest in our network and in the innovation that enables us to enhance and optimize it to meet the increased needs of our customers.
