  • Project Innovation Grant Program: The NBCUniversal Foundation launched a new competitive grant program, in partnership with NBCUniversal Owned Television Stations, to recognize local non-profit organizations leveraging technology to solve everyday problems by awarding them grants totaling nearly $5M over the next two years.   • UnidosUS Grant Program Extension: Comcast NBCUniversal Telemundo announced that we are extending the Comcast Digital Innovation Program for 2017-2018, which launched last year 
  • NBC Latino 20: To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, NBC Latino profiled 20 Latinos who are moving the needle in their respective fields, which included video interviews discussing what it's like being a Latino in the workplace
  • FreePass Latino: Comcast's Annual Bicultural Binge-Watching Event, FreePass Latino launched in September to give Xfinity customers an all-access pass to hundreds of titles from the STARZ Network in both English and Spanish
  • WICT Top Employer for Women: Comcast NBCUniversal was named the Top Employer for Women by Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT) and was also ranked first among cable operators and programmers for women
  • NAMIC Top Company for People of Color: Comcast NBCUniversal was designated a 2017 Top Company for People of Color by the National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC)
  • USBLN Best Place to Work: Comcast NBCUniversal was named the 2017 Top Corporation for Disability-Owned Businesses by US Business Leadership Network (USBLN) and a 2017 Best Place to Work by USBLN and the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), after receiving a 100 score on the Disability Equality Index (DEI)
  • HRC Best Place to Work: For the sixth consecutive year, Comcast NBCUniversal earned a 100 score on the Human Rights Campaign’s (HRC) 2018 Corporate Equality Index and was named a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality
  • MCCA Lifetime Achievement: Minority Corporate Counsel Association honored David L. Cohen with its Lifetime Achievement Award at its 20th Anniversary Gala
  • 2017 Corporate Advocate of the Year: Jacquelyn Puente, Executive Director for External Affairs at Comcast Corporation, was honored as USHCC's 2017 Corporate Advocate of the Year
  • NAMIC 2017 Next Generation Leaders: Ebonne Ruffins, VP, Local Media Development at Comcast Cable, was named one of NAMIC's 2017 Next Generation Leaders
