Xfinity awarded with “Best Brand Campaign” and “Best Employee Engagement” during the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Our employees and our company take an enormous amount of pride in our partnership with Team USA and we are honored to be recognized for our brand marketing and employee engagement efforts during the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020.
During Team USA’s 2nd Annual Partner Awards in Park City, our “Team of Tomorrow” campaign took top billing as the best Olympic and Paralympic Brand Campaign amongst all Team USA partners, and our “Bringing Inspiration Home to Comcast” campaign was recognized as the “Best Employee Engagement”.
“Team of Tomorrow” celebrated the inspiration of Team USA, the human connection, and athletic accomplishment around Olympic and Paralympic athletes in Tokyo. The campaign celebrated athlete success by updating footage from Tokyo in real time as the next generation of Olympians re-enacted Team USA athletes during their medal-winning performances.
To bring the campaign to life and in partnership with Internet Essentials from Comcast, Xfinity partnered with Simone Manuel (U.S. Olympic Gold Medalist), who surprised youth at a Comcast Lift Zone and delivered laptops to 1,000 children to help close the digital divide.
The “Team of Tomorrow” campaign continues through Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games Beijing 2022, showing how Olympians inspire future generations of athletes, regardless of whether you compete in the summer or winter.
“Bringing Inspiration Home to Comcast” connected Comcast employees more directly to Team USA, athletes’ incredible stories, and spread the Team USA message company wide with employee engagement moments during the Tokyo Games held around the country. Athlete appearances and virtual panels with Olympians like Allyson Felix (Track and Field), Elena Delle Donne (Basketball), Noah Lyles (Track and Field), and Simone Manuel (Swimming) were a massive hit with our employee base.
Thank you to Team USA for your continued partnership and for this recognition. We are not only grateful and proud of these awards; we are motivated to raise the bar even higher to highlight the stories and achievements of our amazing U.S. Olympians and Paralympians in 2024 and beyond.
