Xfinity Mobile & Comcast Business Mobile Surpass 7 Million Lines
Comcast Maintains Growth of Approximately 1 Million Lines Per Year for 7 Years
Seven years ago, Comcast set out to create a wireless experience tailored to how customers use their mobile devices today – to connect to the Internet. Our goal was to deliver a best-in-class mobile product while saving our customers money. Since then, we’ve expanded our mobile offering to our Comcast Business customers and launched a prepaid option, NOW Mobile.
We also made advancements in our mobile offerings. Earlier this year we launched WiFi Boost, delivering speeds of up to 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) to our customers when they connect to millions of Xfinity WiFi hotspot across the country. And now, Xfinity Mobile and Comcast Business Mobile customers can get that benefit in the home with the latest Xfinity gateways – regardless of their home Internet speed – when they update to the latest iOS on the newest iPhones. We’ve also streamlined our Unlimited offerings to deliver some of the lowest prices on the market today. In fact, our customer can save hundreds on their wireless bill when they switch to Xfinity Mobile or Comcast Business Mobile.
This year we crossed the 7 million subscriber line. To celebrate, we compiled seven fun facts about our mobile offerings.
Xfinity Mobile has proven itself as a great addition to our portfolio of products. Beyond adding value to our customers, it has also been great at reducing churn. In fact, customers with more than one Xfinity Mobile line are more likely than non-mobile customers to keep their broadband service. And with a 12 percent penetration rate Xfinity Mobile has a huge runway for growth.
As we look ahead, Xfinity Mobile will continue to innovate to meet and exceed our customers’ demands. 2024 has been a great year of growth for us, and our customers can expect more exclusive offers in the future.
