It’s summer and, for us, that means soccer. With X1’s best-in-class sports features that make following every moment easier than ever, we’re excited to once again give our customers a one-of-a-kind viewing experience they won’t find anywhere else.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup™ kicks off today, and X1 will be the only place fans can enjoy live coverage of all 52 matches in stunning 4K ultra high-definition – in both English on FOX and in Spanish on Telemundo. X1 customers can tune in to any live match by saying the name of the team playing, for example, “Team USA,” or simply say “World Cup Standings” into their X1 voice remote for a quick tournament overview.  Plus, if they have Xfinity Home service and a compatible smart light bulb from Philips Hue or LIFX they can say “Xfinity Home, go USA” or insert the name of any one of the competing teams to change their lights to the colors of the country’s flag.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup™ is just the beginning of a huge summer of soccer. Fans can enjoy two other major international tournaments during the same time period - the CONMEBOL Copa América Brasil 2019 and the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup. Fortunately, we’ve built the ultimate soccer collection on X1 and made it easier than ever to tune in, so fans don’t miss a moment.

Easily accessible by saying “Soccer” or “Muéstrame fútbol” (when Spanish voice search language is enabled) into the bilingual voice remote, X1 customers can use the comprehensive collection to browse and access live matches, on-demand replays and highlights, web clips, or real-time scores, stats, and standings. Customers can also receive notifications right on the TV, such as when their favorite team is ready to take the pitch, or keep up on the latest scores and pre-, in, and post-match stats with the X1 on-screen companion by saying “sports app” into the remote.

With so many matches happening at all hours of the day, the Xfinity Stream app and portal will provide Xfinity TV customers with full coverage of the FIFA Women’s World Cup™, Copa América, and the 2019 Gold Cup, in both English and Spanish and across devices, from FOX (in select markets), FS1, FS2, Telemundo (in select markets), Universo, and Univision Deportes Network. Full-event replays and highlights will also be available on demand, along with pre-game predictions and post-game analysis.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup™ in France will take place from June 7 – July 7; Copa América will run from June 14 – July 7 in Brazil; while the 2019 Gold Cup will run from June 15 – July 7 from its host venues in the US, Costa Rica and Jamaica.
