Telemundo’s TV-only viewership average for Mexico-Germany (10:30 a.m.-1 p.m. ET) of 6.56 million viewer, topping any World Cup group stage match on Spanish-language TV and any Mexico World Cup group stage match in any language on any network.
Television-only viewership of the match peaked at 8.0 million viewers from 12:30-12:45 p.m. ET.
The match also ranks as the sixth most-watched World Cup match ever on Spanish-language TV (375 matches through Sunday, including World Cup finals, since 1994).
Telemundo’s Sunday coverage from 6 a.m.-5 p.m. ET averaged 3.7 million television viewers ranking as the most-watched Sunday daytime in Telemundo history and more than tripling the prior record, set during the 2017 Confederations Cup (1.1 million on 6/18/17).
