Creating Jobs, Wealth and Innovation Through Entrepreneurship

Key Takeaways

Comcast has a longstanding commitment to providing founders and small businesses with the resources, digital skills and support they need to grow.
When entrepreneurs thrive, they create jobs, help to raise wages, stimulate local economies, and become engines of opportunity.
In 2024 alone, Comcast committed $35 million to support hundreds of community organizations in providing resources, training, and technology for the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and creative thinkers.

Leveling the playing field for talented entrepreneurs not only surfaces more innovation, but it also grows jobs and opportunity that ultimately creates wealth for entire communities.

As a company built by media and technology entrepreneurs, Comcast has a longstanding commitment to providing founders and small businesses with the resources, digital skills and support they need to grow.

We are proud to partner with visionaries like Diego Mariscal, who launched 2Gether-International (2GI), the largest startup accelerator in the world run by and for disabled entrepreneurs, with the stated goal of creating a pipeline of 5,000 entrepreneurs by 2030.

Through supporting organizations like 2GI that work with underfunded entrepreneurs, we can unlock the potential of ideas and innovations to help founders thrive.

And when founders thrive, they create jobs, help to raise wages, stimulate local economies, and become engines of opportunity. They also contribute to the tax base, in turn, strengthening a community’s access to quality public education, healthcare and infrastructure, and underscoring why it is critically important for the macro health of our economy that we break down barriers to entrepreneurship.

Putting more people, including entrepreneurs from all backgrounds, on a path to economic mobility is at the heart of Project UP, Comcast’s $1 billion commitment to connect people to the Internet, support digital skills and jobs programs, and advance economic mobility. In 2024 alone, we have committed $35 million to support hundreds of community organizations in providing resources, training, and technology for the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, and creative thinkers. In addition, we’ve awarded millions in financial, marketing and technology grants to over 14,000 small businesses through Comcast RISE since it launched four years ago.

Ultimately, investing in small businesses and underrepresented entrepreneurs is not just about leveling the playing field—it's about unleashing untapped potential that benefits everyone. Comcast remains committed to creating pathways for lasting, positive change and ensuring all have the tools to bring their ideas and dreams to life.
