Scala is powerful, flexible programming language that is increasingly important to the work we do at Comcast. To share what we’re working on, and hear more from fellow programmers in our community about their experiences, we’re hosting a one-day Scala conference at our headquarters in Philadelphia on January 24, 2017.

It all starts today with a call for papers.

If you’re a Scala programmer who has an interesting experience or use case, and you’re going to be in the Philadelphia area in January, we’d love you to submit a paper for Scala by the Schuylkill. Talks can be as short as 15 minutes, and can cover virtually anything that would be of interest to the Scala community.

Scala programmers at Comcast will review all submissions, and let applicants know in December if they’ve been selected to speak.

Once we’ve chosen all the talks, we’ll be publishing a full agenda, and taking registrations. Attendance is free of charge and will be available until we run out of space. Check back here for more details.
