Comcast’s Hometown of Philadelphia is Named a Host City for the 2026 FIFA World Cup

We’re excited our hometown of Philadelphia has been chosen to be one of the 11 U.S. host cities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup! We also congratulate the ten other cities across the U.S. who were selected as hosts, and the five in Canada and Mexico.

Brian L. Roberts, Comcast Chairman and CEO, said, “This is a once-in-a-lifetime moment for Philadelphia to host one of the biggest events in the world. It would not have been possible without the incredible work of the city and the bid committee and we all can’t wait for fans to experience this wonderful place we are proud to call home. Philadelphia’s passion for sports is legendary and we’re excited to bring every minute of the 2026 FIFA World Cup action to viewers on Comcast NBCUniversal’s own Telemundo network. We know our city will deliver something truly special that will benefit the community for decades to come.”

We are also thrilled that additional Comcast NBCUniversal communities were selected as host cities in the U.S., including:

  • Atlanta
  • Boston
  • Dallas
  • Houston
  • Kansas City
  • Los Angeles
  • Miami
  • New York/New Jersey
  • Philadelphia
  • San Francisco
  • Seattle

We look forward to welcoming the 2026 FIFA World Cup to Philadelphia!
