Telemundo Headquarters to Host Latest Comcast NBCUniversal Hackathon

Hackathon technology providers include Amazon Web Services, Inc. and Google Cloud; participants will compete in the newly inaugurated Telemundo Center for a $10,000 grand prize.
Comcast NBCUniversal today announced the company’s latest public hackathon, which will be held in NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises new global headquarters, Telemundo Center in Miami, Florida on November 3-4, 2018. Hackathon participants will be challenged to leverage technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Mobile Augmented Reality (AR) to develop new ways to tell stories and foster deeper fan and community engagement with participating NBCUniversal brands.
Over a 24-hour period, hackathon participants will work on innovative cross-platform solutions while vying for a $10,000 grand prize, plus the opportunity to pitch their idea to NBCUniversal Executives. Participants will have access to NBCUniversal content as well as platforms, APIs, SDKs and technical support from Technology Providers throughout the two-day event.

This is the second such hackathon the company has held in Miami. The first was in October of 2016.

Hackathon Technology Providers include: Amazon Web Services, Inc., Google Cloud, WIREWAX Interactive Video Technology and more.
Judges – including tech influencers, as well as NBCUniversal executives – will select 1st and 2nd runners up, as well as an overall Grand Prize winner. Additional information and a chance to participate can be found HERE.
