Comcast Co-Hosts Internet Engineering Task Force Meeting in Prague
We’re honored this week to co-host the 99th meeting of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in Prague. The work the IETF does is critical to the continuing evolution and advancement of the Internet, and we’re thrilled to be able to support it.
The IETF is one of the Internet’s oldest and most important multi-stakeholder organizations. Open to all, the IETF develops voluntary, consensus-based Internet standards and best practices.
This week’s meeting was preceded by the Applied Networking Research Workshop, which we also helped to support.
The IETF’s international community of more than 1,000 people includes leading network architects, operators, vendors, software developers and vendors all working together to advance open architecture and standards.
The standards developed by IETF are essential to the operation and the evolution of the Internet. And most importantly, these standards are what helps make the Internet work smoothly for users around the world.
We’re looking forward to a great week in Prague, and many more years of engagement with IETF.
