NBCUniversal’s 2025 Upfront Showcases Expansive Entertainment, Sports and News Offerings
Presentation Highlights Historic Moments Across TV, Streaming and Film Ahead of Historic 2026 100-Year Anniversary
NBC's 100th year includes Sunday Night Football’s 20th Season, Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Kentucky Derby, Live from the Red Carpet, 24/7 news coverage, and late-night hits like SNL and The Tonight Show. With a once-in-a-lifetime television event, “NBC 100” will be a star-studded variety special commemorating 100 years of culture-defining content, from iconic moments to unforgettable stars.
And in the summer, Telemundo and Peacock will be the Spanish language home to the FIFA World Cup. In fact, Peacock will have more than 7,500 hours of sports in the next year alone and has more live sports than Amazon Prime, Paramount+, Hulu, Max, Apple TV and Netflix combined.
Basketball legend Michael Jordan — whose legacy helped define the original NBA on NBC — announced he will return to the network this fall as a special contributor to NBA on NBC coverage.
The NBA experience on Peacock will deliver an exciting and inclusive streaming experience to draw in the broadest range of basketball fans and celebrate the league's dynamic elements to give users new ways to get into the game. New viewing features include Instant Game Access, Catch Up With Key Plays, Can't Miss Highlights, Peacock ScoreCard, Peacock Performance View and, coming later in the season, Courtside Live.
Across Telemundo network and Universo, every match will stream live on Peacock and the Telemundo App. As part of its Rumbo al Mundial franchise, Telemundo will enhance its FIFA coverage leading up to the tournament with exclusive Spanish-language rights to nine Argentina and Brazil’s home of FIFA World Cup 26™ Qualifiers and Team USA games. In addition, Telemundo is launching in August its new 24/7 Sports FAST channel Telemundo Deportes Ahora which will deliver over 50 hours of LIVE Spanish-language sports content each week—including original programming and a robust slate of live sporting events—created specifically for today’s digital audiences.
An exciting range of films from Universal Pictures, Focus Features, DreamWorks Animation and Illumination were presented, including Megan 2.0, Nobody 2, Bad Guys 2, How to Train Your Dragon, Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, Black Phone 2, HIM, and The Phoenician Scheme.
These films stream first exclusively on Peacock after their theatrical and PVOD windows, making it a uniquely positioned powerhouse for blockbuster success — driving viewership, premium advertising opportunities and cultural impact with must-watch entertainment experiences such as Wicked.
Director Jon M. Chu announced from the Radio City stage that Academy Award® nominated stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will lead a one-time-only “WICKED” special event from the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles this fall.
Peacock's "The Paper," a mockumentary from Greg Daniels and Michael Koman, is set in the same universe as NBC's Emmy Award-winning hit series "The Office," and features the documentary crew that immortalized Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch. "The Paper" will premiere in September.
Amy Poehler and Mike Schur introduce a new comedy, "Dig,” which is about four women working at an archeological dig in Greece who are at wildly different crossroads in their lives. When they uncover a long-buried secret with the potential to rewrite history, they find themselves at the center of a high-stakes international conspiracy.
“The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins,” which is executive produced by “30 Rock” creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock and written by Carlock and Sam Means (“30 Rock,” “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”), focuses on a disgraced former football player (Morgan) who is on a mission to rehabilitate his image.
