NBC Sports Delivers Two Most-Watched Live Premier League Matches In U.S. History In Last Two Weeks

NBC Sports’ presentation of Tottenham’s 1-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday averaged 1.5 million viewers across NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Digital platforms, marking the second-largest audience for a live Premier League match in United States history.

Tottenham-Manchester City, won on Harry Kane’s Spurs club record 267th goal, was watched by an additional 288,000 viewers on Telemundo.

Coupled with the record 1.9 million viewers for Arsenal-Manchester United on Jan. 22, NBC Sports in a two-week stretch has registered the two most-watched live Premier League matches in U.S. history.

Additional NBC Sports Premier League viewership notes:

  • Both matches were played in a new NBC Sunday 11:30 a.m. ET Premier League window, which will return next season.
  • Led by Peacock, NBC Sports Digital registered an Average Minute Audience (AMA) of 358,000 viewers for Tottenham-Manchester City – second-best ever for a simulstreamed Premier League match – behind only Arsenal-Manchester United on Jan. 22 (510,000).
  • Earlier this season, Peacock’s exclusive Tottenham-Arsenal match on Jan. 15 delivered an AMA of 808,000 viewers – the best streaming audience ever in the U.S. for a Premier League match.
  • For the season, NBC Sports is averaging 524,000 viewers per TV match window – UP 4% from last season at this point. The 2021-22 season was the second-most watched in U.S. TV history.
