Meet The Press With Chuck Todd is the No. 1 Most-Watched Sunday Show Across the Board

Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, June 14, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), former U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, NBC News Science Contributor Joseph Fair and Dr. Nahid Bhadelia, Infectious Diseases Physician and Medical Director of Special Pathogens Unit at Boston University School of Medicine and NBC News Medical Contributor.

MTP averaged 3.296 million total viewers: +16 percent (+448,000) more than ABC’s This Week and two percent (+78,000) more than CBS’ Face the Nation. Compared to last Sunday, MTP was the only Sunday show to grow and was up five percent (+172,000) and compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP grew the most and was up +16 percent (+466,000).

MTP was also #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers, topping both ABC and CBS by double-digits. 746,000 A25-54 key demo viewers tuned into the Sunday program: +13 percent (+87,000) more than ABC’s This Week and +14 percent (+93,000) more than CBS’ Face the Nation. Compared to last Sunday, MTP was up eight percent (+55,000) and compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP grew the most and was up +15 percent (+100,000).

An additional 721,000 total viewers and 192,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, beating the competition combined across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers in over five years (since March 22, 2015).
