Christin McMeley Named Senior Vice President, Chief Privacy and Data Strategy Officer

Comcast Corporation today announced it has named Christin McMeley as Senior Vice President, Chief Privacy and Data Strategy Officer.
In the newly created role, Ms. McMeley will partner across Comcast's business units, spearheading the execution of enterprise privacy and data strategies, with a focus on responsible use of data and risk governance of artificial intelligence. She will report to Thomas J. Reid, Chief Legal Officer & Secretary.
“Christin has been integral to our privacy program since she joined the organization, having led the creation of the Comcast Privacy Program and the critical work of stewarding the information our customers entrust to us,” said Reid.
In today’s increasingly complex data and legal landscapes, Christin’s deep experience and comprehensive perspective will continue to help drive the important work our teams are doing in this space across the company.
Christin joined Comcast in 2018. She previously served as Senior Vice President, Chief Privacy and Legal Information Security Officer within Comcast’s legal team. In this role, she was a key architect of the Comcast Privacy Program, one of the industry’s most robust resources dedicated to consumer privacy. Christin also advised the business on key issues including privacy compliance, information governance, cybersecurity, public policy, and regulatory matters.
Prior to joining Comcast, Christin spent over two decades in roles focused on data protection and governance. As a Partner at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, she chaired the firm’s Privacy and Security Practice Group. She also served in various roles at Charter Communications, including Chief Privacy Officer, Deputy General Counsel, and Vice President of Government
