Bringing Our Stories and Characters to Life Through New Experiences for Younger Universal Guests

Universal Destinations & Experiences is introducing new products, to new people on new platforms. To deliver on this we continue to make investments in mega parks and we are also developing products tailored to specific audience segments, like our youngest theme park goers.

In 2024, Universal Orlando Resort will become home to a new set of popular stories from DreamWorks Animations’ franchises, which is part of the NBCU family of companies, in an all-new themed land.

The new land will feature opportunities for families to meet popular characters, experience the joy of play and make memories with characters from the films and products they have only imagined, including Shrek, the top-grossing DreamWorks Animation film of all-time, Trolls, which has over 4B views across Peacock Kids, the two-time Oscar winning Kung Fu Panda and Gabby’s Dollhouse, the global preschool phenomenon that recently celebrated an impressive product milestone at retail, having sold 1 million Gabby’s Purrfect Dollhouses.

This project adds to our experiences in Orlando and follows the announcement from earlier this year about a new, original theme park concept designed specifically for families with young children in Frisco, Texas. The proposed park is designed to be more intimate and engaging and it will be full of family-friendly attractions, interactive and playful shows, character meet and greets, unique merchandise and fun food and beverage venues.

Both the new Universal Orlando land and the Texas park are intended to provide immersive and authentic experiences that give families another reason to make Universal their next vacation destination.
