Ovations Introduces First Hotel Property
The 156-room hotel is packed with amenities and surprises designed to immerse guests in the culture of the Shoshone-Bannock tribes. The gift shop sells tribal art and beadwork. Hallway wallpaper shimmers with pinks, oranges, blues and greens. And each of the five floors is themed for natural wildlife important to the Shoshone and the Bannock cultures.
This $47 million, five-story hotel features spacious suites, laundry, a pool, a full-service spa and fitness center, a 125-seat sports grill and a 45-seat deli, and a 1,400-seat events center with 15,000 square feet of meeting space.
"We worked really hard to incorporate the traditional feel to bring the whole cultural experience to hospitality," said Jim Metzger, Director of Hospitality for Ovations. "You’re going to find that literally reflected in the hotel finishes like the wallpaper, the beautiful slate wall finishes and the hand-laid tiles. Each floor has an individual tribal name."
With the addition of the hotel, the Fort Hall Casino will become more than just a casino destination. It will be a hotel and event center in the middle of beautiful Southeastern Idaho, capable of hosting events ranging in size from a small meeting or wedding to a rock concert. It will also be the perfect place for a wide range of innovative dining options, with two new restaurants on the premises.
At the new Shoshone-Bannock Hotel and Event Center at Fort Hall, thousands of visitors will be making their way through the hotel doors each year, and Ovations’ staff is ready to give them an unforgettable experience.
