Universal Orlando, NBC Sports Ready to Wet Fans' Whistles This Fall
Comcast NBCUniversal is proud to announce a first of its kind venue that is sure to knock the ball out of the park this fall at Universal Orlando Resort. The NBC Sports Grill & Brew will deliver high-quality, award-winning NBC Sports television coverage to passionate sports fans, along with an extensive menu and exclusive drafts and regional brews found only at the restaurant. NBC Sports Grill & Brew will be the only venue of its kind at Universal CityWalk, Universal Orlando's destination for eclectic food, family entertainment and nightlife.
With a massive 100-feet wide stadium screen and luminous searchlights spanning the sky, NBC Sports Grill & Brew patrons from all over the world can root for their team and experience game day every day. When it comes to finding the best seat in the house, it’s simple and easy, with nearly 100 HD TV monitors continuously rolling in-depth sports coverage and content. The venue will offer a wide-ranging menu of more than 75 different food selections and over 100 beer varieties. Guests can choose to watch the chefs in action as they prepare meals in an open kitchen with custom fire grills, or relax with a meal and brew outdoors in the open beer garden.
NBC Sports Grill & Brew is another example of Comcast NBCUniversal "symphony," designed to create co-branded and unique opportunities throughout Comcast NBCUniversal and its subsidiaries.
"We utilize all of our various outlets to make an organic and integrated experience," said Maggie Suniewick, Senior Vice President of Strategic Integration at Comcast Corporation and NBCUniversal.
Whether it's NBC Sports Live Extra App integration with the X1 Platform during the Olympics, or delivering a dynamic NASCAR experience to fans at the track, and on TV, sports continues to be steady driver of cross-company innovation.
"NBC Sports Group includes everything from the Summer and Winter Olympics, to NFL Games through Sunday Night Football, Premier League, National Hockey League (NHL), NASCAR, F1, Indy Car, Triple Crown races and more. We have two 24-hour networks, NBCSN and the Golf Channel and 10 Regional Sports Networks," said Chief Marketing Officer of NBC Sports Group, John Miller. "The NBC Sports Group is a substantial entity and we are eager to see this powerful sports brand come to life in the new NBC Sports Grill & Brew and at Universal Orlando Resorts."
Universal CityWalk continues its epic growth with the opening of eight new venues in just one year to its entertainment complex. The two-tiered, 30-acre attraction features a collection of themed restaurants, shops and nightclubs, including The Cowfish, VIVO Italian Kitchen, Emeril’s Restaurant Orlando, Jimmy Buffett’s Margartaville, Antojitos Authentic Mexcian Food and Rising Star.
The NBC Sports Grill & Brew will open in fall of 2015, located before the entrance of Universal Studios Florida.
