Turner Broadcasting and Comcast Strike Deal on Stacking Rights and Dynamic Ad Insertion

Turner Broadcasting System, Inc., and Comcast Corporation today announced an agreement that will provide Xfinity TV customers complete current and previous seasons of popular programming from Turner’s portfolio of networks including TBS, TNT, Adult Swim, CNN, Cartoon Network and truTV via Xfinity On Demand. 

Additionally, the Turner networks will now insert dynamic ads in Xfinity On Demand programming on the TV, as well as on computers, tablets and smartphones via each company’s tv everywhere experiences. The offerings will be made available as inventory in time for the 2014-15 upfront.

Beginning this summer, Turner will provide full current seasons of some of their most popular original series to Xfinity TV subscribers, allowing fans to catch-up and stay current on select series via Xfinity On Demand. New episodes of Turner’s popular entertainment, news, young adults and kids programming will become available the day after they premiere and remain up for the duration of the current season.  Some of the shows that will be made available include:  

 

·         TNT’s Falling SkiesThe Last Ship and Murder in the First

·         TBS’s Deal With It and CeeLo Green’s The Good Life

·         Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time and Regular Show

·         Adult Swim’s Robot Chicken and Mike Tyson Mysteries

·         CNN’s Anthony Bourdain Parts Unknown and Inside Man

·         truTV’s Impractical Jokers and The Carbonaro Effect
