The X1 Platform: A Better Way to Deliver the Content Customers Love

The X1 Platform has set an industry standard for home entertainment, one that transcends traditional TV to deliver an immersive and personalized entertainment experience across all devices. Now, Comcast and Xfinity are leveraging X1's leading-edge technology to bring the next generation of its cloud-based operating system to users.

The next-generation of X1’s operating system features more opportunity for personalization and an elegant and intuitive design that will engage users like nothing that has ever come before. 

X1 is now available across 100 percent of Comcast’s footprint, and the most recent update to the user interface is available out of the box to new X1 customers.

Enhancements include a seamless search function designed for the needs of television, a more aesthetically pleasing and readable guide and an intuitive navigation.

Those design updates are also reflected in Comcast’s ongoing roll out of the X1 DVR with cloud technology and live in-home streaming. Customers can now watch DVR recordings on devices in the home and download recorded content to take on-the-go. The live TV streaming feature provides access to channel lineup and the X1 guide on devices in the home.
