Rebecca Arbogast to Join Comcast as Vice President, Global Public Policy

Rebecca Arbogast will join Comcast Corporation as Vice President for Global Public Policy effective September 19, 2011.  Ms. Arbogast currently serves as a Managing Director at Stifel Financial where she focuses on legal and regulatory issues affecting communications, media, and technology industries.   As Vice President for Global Public Policy, Ms. Arbogast will oversee the development and coordination of the company's public policy efforts across the corporation. Ms. Arbogast will be located in Comcast's government affairs office in Washington, DC and will report to Kyle McSlarrow, President of Comcast/NBCUniversal for Washington, DC.

She joined the Stifel Nicolaus Research Team in 2005 when Legg Mason's Capital Markets Group was acquired by Stifel.  Ms. Arbogast joined Legg Mason in 2001 from the FCC.  At the FCC, she served as chief of the International Bureau Telecommunications Division.  Prior to joining the FCC in 1997, she served in the Office of Legal Counsel of the U.S. Department of Justice, and began her legal career as a corporate attorney with Wilmer, Cutler and Pickering.

Ms. Arbogast holds a law degree from Yale Law School and a Masters Degree from the University of Iowa.  She has taught Constitutional Law at Johns Hopkins School of Public Policy and Global Communications at American University.  She clerked for Judge Fletcher on the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and was a Fulbright Fellow in European Community Law.
