NFL Football Returns to NBC August 4
As the 2013 NFL season approaches, Sunday Night Football presents a pair of preseason games, beginning on Sunday, Aug. 4 as the Dallas Cowboys face the Miami Dolphins in the NFL/Hall of Fame Game from Canton, Ohio.
NBC's preseason coverage, which also includes a Sunday, Aug. 25 match-up between the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers, sets the stage for SNF's 19 regular-season primetime games, including NFL Kickoff 2013 on Thursday, Sept. 5, featuring Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos hosting the Super Bowl XLVII champion Baltimore Ravens. That precedes a classic NFC East showdown as the Dallas Cowboys host the New York Giants in the opening SNF game three days later on Sept. 8.
In addition, the champion Ravens will host their division rival Pittsburgh Steelers in a special Thanksgiving night game on NBC.
For the second straight primetime television season in 2012-13, SNF ranked as the most-watched (persons 2+) show, and the No. 1 program across the key demographics of Adults 18-49, 18-34, 25-54, as well as Men 18-49, 18-34 and 25-54, based on Nielsen live + same day data. Additionally, SNF was the No. 2 show among Women 18-34, and Women 18-49 based on Nielsen live + same day data.
