NBC’s 2015 Fall Shows To Deliver Increased Diversity Among Leading Characters

The new NBC comedy, Truth Be Told (pictured above), is just one of several series premiering this fall that features a diverse cast of characters.

At the very heart of the stories we deliver at Comcast NBCUniversal, there is a strong commitment to the inclusion of diverse voices.

This fall, NBC is increasing the diversity of principal characters in new comedies and dramas.

New primetime series featuring diverse characters in leading roles this fall include:

  • The Player stars Wesley Snipes as a pit boss and Philip Winchester as a former military operative turned security expert drawn into a high-stakes game in a Las Vegas-set thriller.

  • Truth Be Told features the work of Executive Producer, Will Packer (Executive Producer of Straight Outta Compton), and stars Tone Bell and Mark-Paul Gosselaar in a comedy about two diverse couples.

  • Heroes Reborn, the 2006 breakout superhero series returns to NBC, and stars Kiki Sukezane, and Ryan Guzman.

  • Chicago Med, the newest installment of the Chicago franchise, stars Yaya DaCosta, S. Epatha Merkerson and Brian Tee in an emotional ride through the day-to-day chaos of the city’s most explosive hospital.

  • Best Time Ever is a live one-hour variety show, hosted by Neil Patrick Harris, that proves anything can happen - and it can happen to you.
