Millennial Trains Project: Putting Ideas Into Motion

The Millennial Trains Project, sponsored by NBCUniversal, will transport changemakers to innovative cities across the country this summer.

NBCUniversal is proud to once again be the lead sponsor of the Millennial Trains Project (MTP). MTP is an innovative non-profit organization that leads crowd-funded transcontinental train journeys for young entrepreneurs and changemakers to explore America's new frontiers in social change. MTP's caravans of vintage rail cars serve as a mobile innovation lab and campus for participants, who earn their way on board by crowdfunding support for a project they want to advance across the country. The trains stop in cities where social innovators meet with government and social leaders about implementing their projects.

This summer MTP will have two journeys: the first journey will depart August 1st, 2016 from Pittsburgh stopping in Chicago, Kansas City and Albuquerque, terminating in Los Angeles on August 7th, 2016. The second journey will depart Los Angeles on August 10th stopping in San Francisco, Denver and Milwaukee, arriving in Detroit on August 17th.

Applications are now open for the two August 2015 journeys. To learn more about how to apply for the 2016 journeys, please visit millennialtrain.co/apply.
