Giving Girls Courage, Confidence, and Character
Since 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA has given girls the courage, confidence, and character to change the world. Comcast is proud to support Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, which serves more than 41,000 girls in the region.
In 2012, Girl Scouts nationwide celebrated 100 years of scouting with the Century of the Girl, and Comcast was proud to support the Century of the Girl Expo, which was held in Philadelphia in April. The Expo celebrated the Girl Scouts' legacy and provided scouts young and old with interactive exhibits, workshops and entertainment.
Comcast also sponsors Girl Scouts’ Take the Lead Awards, which honor outstanding women for their breakthrough leadership. The awards help women develop their public speaking, networking and presentation skills, and the winners serve as strong role models for young girls.
