The Philadelphia Zoo has unveiled a 3D Art installation and Free Xfinity WiFi. Through a social media initiative, Xfinity, the presenting sponsor, challenges guests to #sendakid and bring 10,000 underserved kids to the zoo.

(From a Philadelphia Zoo news release) Philadelphia Zoo invites guests to experience You360ShotSpot, a got-to-see-it-to-believe-it three dimensional optical illusion, opening to the public on Thursday, May 5, 2016 through October 2016You360ShotSpot is a unique customized mural that creates the illusion that guests are teetering on the edge of the Zoo with animals roaming below…when in reality they are standing on a fantastical work of art right on the ground. While perched on this whimsical piece of art, guests can take photos and share their "unreal" adventure on all of their social media platforms.

As presenting sponsor of You360SpotShot, Xfinity is challenging guests to use their voices to make a difference - simply visit the Zoo, take a picture at You360ShotSpot, and post on various social media channels. For every 50 social media actions that include #sendakidXfinity will #sendakid to the Zoo with the ultimate goal of providing up to 10,000 underserved kids the opportunity to experience Philadelphia Zoo.

Uploading photos will be seamless as Comcast has installed free Xfinity WiFi hotspots throughout the Zoo. Just in time for the busy summer season, guests will be able to easily access the Xfinity WiFi network to stay connected and share their favorite moments.

Outside of the Free Xfinity WiFi hotspots at the Zoo, the Xfinity WiFi network also includes more than 14 million hotspots that are accessible to the majority of Xfinity Internet customers for no additional charge. Xfinity WiFi is the fastest and largest Wi-Fi network in the country and is present in many businesses, transportation hubs, sports and entertainment venues, shopping districts and parks throughout Comcast’s service areas.  "We are excited to unveil this fantastic piece of art and for our guests to be able to access free Xfinity WiFi," says Chief Marketing Officer, Amy Shearer. "The most unique part of this launch is the #sendakid challenge, which is a great way to get excitement around Xfinity bringing so many underserved children to the Zoo. There is nothing better than seeing the wonder on their faces as they enter the Zoo possibly for the very first time.  We are thrilled that Xfinity issued the challenge and hope that thousands will participate."  Admission prices for kids 2-11 is $19.00; group pricing is $16.00 per child.
