Comcast to Launch NFL Network


Agreement Includes Digital Cable Carriage and Video-On-Demand Game Highlights

Comcast, the nation's leading cable and broadband communications provider, and NFL Network, the first channel fully dedicated to the NFL and the sport of professional football, have reached a significant multi-year agreement to make NFL Network available as part of Comcast's Digital Cable service.

Beginning this month, NFL Network will be added to Comcast's Digital Plus lineup for the majority of the company's more than eight million digital cable customers.

Comcast serves 24 of the 30 NFL team markets, and is the leading cable provider in more than half of those markets, including: Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Jacksonville, Miami, New England, Oakland, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Seattle, Tennessee and Washington, DC. .

From the latest inside information to classic football moments, Comcast Digital Cable customers will be able to experience the NFL in a whole new way.

In addition, Comcast Digital Cable customers in video-on-demand enabled markets will be able to select from a customized video-on-demand offering that includes access to NFL Network Highlights on Demand - extended highlights of each NFL regular-season game - as well as the Emmy-award winning NFL Films library.

NFL Network's programming lineup includes: 54 preseason games in 2004, 22 NFL Europe League games, NFL Total Access, the football show of record, Emmy-award winning NFL Films Presents, Playbook, the definitive Xs & Os show using team-supplied footage, In Their Own Words, the telling of a story without the use of a host or narration, Game of the Week, a one-hour condensed version of Sunday's most compelling contest, Point After, capturing all the post-game sound following the games, No Huddle, a live whip-around show featuring multiple preseason games airing concurrently, Coach Speak, a Monday afternoon show during the season featuring coaches press conferences, NFL Replay, a two-hour re-air of original broadcast games, Inside Training Camp: Jaguars Summer, a reality series following the 2004 Jacksonville Jaguars training camp, plus access to the historic NFL Films library.
