Comcast Serves as a Sponsor of 2005 Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute's Inaugural Annual Gala
Washington, D.C.
The Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) today announced that Comcast Corporation will serve as one of the top sponsors for CHLI's Hispanic Heritage Month Inaugural Gala. This year's Gala will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at the Washington Hilton. The event celebrates Hispanic leadership and achievements during Hispanic Heritage Month.
In addition to providing direct financial support for this year's Gala, Comcast is contributing significant airtime and production resources valued at more than $100,000 to help raise awareness of CHLI's activities and mission.
"We are delighted to partner with the CHLI and support their mission of advocating the diversity of heritage, views and thoughts of Americans of Hispanic and Portuguese descent," said Comcast Executive Vice President David L. Cohen. "We are supporting CHLI as part of our desire to maximize the diversity of our workforce, the content we deliver, our business relationships, and our community investments. Through sponsorships such as this, and numerous other initiatives throughout our company, Comcast is fully dedicated to reflecting the diversity of the communities we serve."
"We are honored to have Comcast as a partner for this year's CHLI Hispanic Heritage Month Gala," said CHLI Chairman, Congressman Lincoln Diaz-Balart. "Comcast's partnership is important in helping CHLI to develop its programs and initiatives, which support the Hispanic community. We look forward to working with Comcast for years to come."
