Comcast Promotes Kathy Zachem To Executive Vice President
Ms. Zachem joined Comcast in 2008 and has led the company’s advocacy before federal agencies and state regulatory and legislative bodies.
Comcast Corporation announced today it has promoted Kathy Zachem to Executive Vice President, Regulatory and State Legislative Affairs. Ms. Zachem oversees Comcast’s advocacy before federal agencies, including the Federal Communications Commission, as well as in the state regulatory and legislative environments in which the company operates. She will continue to report to David L. Cohen, Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer, Comcast Corporation.

"Her sage counsel has not only cemented her status as one of the most respected regulatory professionals in Washington, but also as a trusted colleague here at Comcast. She is highly deserving of this promotion for the superb work she has done for our company and our industry."
Ms. Zachem joined Comcast in 2008 and has led the company’s advocacy before federal agencies and state regulatory and legislative bodies. Prior to Comcast, she was a founding partner of the law firm Wilkinson Barker Knauer, LLP, where she practiced communications law for 23 years.
Ms. Zachem is the recipient of numerous awards and accolades. In 2016, she was a recipient of the NCTA – The Internet & Television Association’s prestigious Vanguard Award for Government & Community Relations. In 2014, she was named a "Wonder Woman" by Multichannel News, and in 2012 she was one of Legal Momentum’s "Aiming High" awardees.
Ms. Zachem is a graduate of the George Mason University School of Law and has a joint bachelor’s degree in economics and political science from George Washington University.
