Comcast and Wharton to Launch Women in Leadership Program
The program, under the Executive Sponsorship of Neil Smit, President and CEO of Comcast Cable, gives our company’s female leaders the opportunity to engage with and learn from one another as they tackle some of the business's most important initiatives.
Women in Leadership at Wharton is based on an integrated design that combines the latest academic research and innovative assessment tools with classroom experiences, team-based learning and coaching opportunities. With the help of faculty and peers, participants are encouraged to reassess their executive capabilities, examine barriers that may inhibit success and develop action plans for the future. As a team, the groups work to understand and use the skills that are important for all executives ― emotional intelligence, negotiation, communication and critical thinking ― all with an eye toward driving innovation and results within the business. The program launched in September of 2012, with an inaugural group of women whose expertise touched all parts of the business ― from engineering to human resources, from marketing to government affairs.
