Comcast NBCUniversal Receives 100 Percent on AAPD & USBLN Disability Equality Index

Following the first annual Disability Equality Index (DEI) survey, Comcast NBCUniversal is honored to receive a 100% score and the designation of a 2014 Best Places to Work for People with Disabilities.

Approximately 80 Fortune 1000-sized companies completed the 2014 DEISM survey, a national benchmarking tool sponsored by the American Association of People with Disabilities® (AAPD®) and the US Business Leadership Network® (USBLN®). The survey offers businesses an opportunity to receive an objective assessment of their disability inclusion policies and practices and identify opportunities for continued improvement. Points are awarded based on a company’s demonstration of best practices in four major categories: Culture & Leadership, Enterprise-wide Access, Employment Practices, and Community Engagement & Support Services.
