Comcast, NBCUniversal Diversity Councils Rank Third on Prominent Nationwide List
The third-place ranking recognizes the diversity councils for their guidance in helping Comcast-NBCUniversal enhance diversity and inclusion among its Board of Directors, workforce affinity groups, talent recruitment and development programs, supply chain partnerships and outreach, diverse programming, expansion of diversity in front of and behind the camera, and rich community investment programs serving diverse communities. 2013 marks the fifth consecutive year the company has won the prestigious Diversity Council Honors Award.
"This is an outstanding achievement, and an important validation of the hard work and dedication that has gone into developing a best-in-class diversity and inclusion program at Comcast and NBCUniversal," said Maria G. Arias, Comcast’s Executive Director of Diversity and Inclusion. "The collective efforts of our external Joint Diversity Advisory Council and our Executive Internal Diversity Councils across the Company have been key in driving our diversity initiatives and progress."
According to the Association of ERGs & Councils, the Diversity Council Honors Award is designed to recognize outstanding contributions and achievements of diversity council groups that lead organizational diversity processes, and demonstrate results within the workforce, workplace, and the marketplace.
