Comcast Earns Operator of the Year Award from Multichannel News

Editors at Multichannel News cited revenue growth and innovative technology as two major reasons they selected Comcast as their Operator of the Year.

In the prominent feature story accompanying the announcement, the trade publication's Senior Finance Editor, Mike Farrell, called Comcast "the gold standard for cable operations not just this year, but for the past 10 quarters." During quarters when most cable companies "struggled to eke out an average of 4.7 percent growth," according to Farrell, Comcast's cable revenue consistently grew by an average of 6 percent.

Expansion of services like Xfinity On Demand and Streampix have complemented Comcast's efforts to bring more quality content to more screens than ever before. Meanwhile, "game-changing" cloud technology in the X1 Platform has refocused attention on how customers can enjoy video with a single, elegant solution.
