Community Impact

Comcast Cares Day Makes an Impact in Local Communities

Across the nation, our employees, their families and their friends gather to help change lives as volunteers in local communities.

During 2012's Comcast Cares Day, volunteers at more than 600 sites in 39 states and the District of Columbia donated over 450,000 community service hours. They planted gardens, beautified schools and connected computer labs at community centers.

Partners for this year's day of service included the National Council of La Raza, the National Urban League, the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, City Year, Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the United Way. With more than 75,000 volunteers in attendance, 2012's event was a record-breaking success. With a total of over 2.6 million volunteer hours served since the inception of this tradition in 2001, Comcast Cares Day has grown into the nation's single largest corporate volunteer effort.
