British dream team reunites in Focus Features comedic thriller
From the creators of the international successes Shaun of the Dead (2004) and Hot Fuzz (2007) comes the newest apocalyptic comedy The World’s End.
Britain’s acclaimed comedic team– director/screenwriter Edgar Wright, actor/screenwriter Simon Pegg and actor Nick Frost – used elements from their previous films to create their latest hit.
The film follows five childhood friends as they attempt to recreate a failed night from their past. One time ringleader Gary King (Simon Pegg) convinces his old friends to attempt to conquer the ‘Golden Mile’ – a pub crawl which includes one pint apiece at twelve different establishments in their old stomping grounds of New Haven U.K.. Friends Andy (Nick Frost), Steven (Paddy Considine), Oliver (Martin Freeman), and Peter (Eddit Marsan) reluctantly take a break from their lives to finish the crawl they left unfinished many years ago.
As they embark on their journey, the ‘five musketeers’ soon realize that reaching the final pub, The World’s End, could hold more obstacles than they could have ever anticipated.
