30 Rock Bids Farewell After Seven Successful Seasons
The critically acclaimed and multiple award-winning comedy series, which first aired in October 2006, will air its hour-long final episode on Jan. 31, 2013.
30 Rock is one of NBC’s many top rated comedies. As the most Emmy award-winning network in television history, NBC has been delivering classic comedy programming for decades. Current and past hits include Friends, Cheers, Seinfeld, The Cosby Show, 30 Rock, The Office and Community.
Throughout the seasons, 30 Rock has garnered 90 Emmy nominations, resulting in 14 wins. In 2009, the show won its third consecutive Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series and also held the record for most comedy program Emmy nominations in a single year with 22 nominations. 30 Rock has also won a Golden Globe for Best Television Series Comedy or Musical, a Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series, three Producers Guild Danny Thomas Producer of the Year Awards in Comedy Episodic Television, three Writers Guild Awards (WGA) for Writing for a Comedy Series and three WGA Awards for Episodic Comedy, and a Television Critics Association Award for Outstanding Achievement in Comedy. And at the SAG awards on Sunday, Jan. 27, Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin won their fourth and eighth awards, respectively, for their roles on the show.
