XFINITY TV Hotlist for November Features Noteworthy Events, Mid-Season Finales and More
Ah, November. The World Series has concluded, basketballs are soaring, hockey pucks are screaming across the ice, and the holiday season is right around the corner. As this busy time of year heads our way, some of fall’s top shows are airing mid-season finales before going on a two-month hiatus – Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Grey’s Anatomy and The Walking Dead – and others remain available for a start-from-the-beginning binge-watch opportunity – The Bastard Executioner, Mr. Robot and Public Morals. This makes November the perfect time to feast on some of the hottest series of the season On Demand.
This month, full seasons of Empire, The Walking Dead, and Quantico – shows that have topped our list of Top 20 Shows on Xfinity On Demand this fall -- are all available for catch up.
If you’re in the mood for something new, try the premiere of Sharon Stone’s new TNT series Agent X, binge the entire debut season of Starz’s dark look at the world of ballet Flesh and Bone, or check out the action in AMC’s martial arts show Into the Badlands. A few reality show favorites also return this month including Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, Chrisley Knows Best, and MasterChef Junior.
For campy fun, put season 2 of The Royals on your watch list, and inspiration for holiday recipes can be found in a robust collection of Thanksgiving specials, recipes and tasty tips from top Food Network chefs. Yes, there’s lots to be thankful for this entire month.
Country music fans rejoice as the 49th Annual Country Music Awards take place on Nov. 4. Tune in as Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood host a night of great musical performances from country superstars.
On Nov. 14, don’t miss the undefeated UFC women’s bantamweight champion, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey (pictured above), take on Holly Holm in front of a crowd of 70,000 in Melbourne. Holly Holm, the underdog given Rousey’s MMA dominance is currently ranked No. 7 women’s bantamweight and is a two-time RING Magazine female boxer of the year.
On Nov. 22, don’t miss the American Music Awards hosted by Jennifer Lopez. Be sure to see which of your favorite musicians are recognized as best in the industry.
Go deep into the history of Thanksgiving with National Geographic Channel’s two-night movie event, Saints & Strangers, premiering Nov. 22 – 23 at 9 p.m. The program takes you inside the familiar historical account of Thanksgiving, revealing the trials and tribulations of the first settlers at Plymouth and their complex relationship with the Native Americans.
This Turkey Day, get ready for an appetizing NFL lineup. At 12:30 p.m., the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Detroit Lions; 4:30 p.m. marks kickoff for the Carolina Panthers at Dallas Cowboys, and the day wraps up at 8:30 p.m. with the Chicago Bears at Green Bay Packers.
NBC plans to sneak in two episodes of the ensemble workplace comedy Superstore, starring Emmy winner America Ferrera, on November 30, following the two-hour telecast of NBC’s Emmy Award-winning musical competition The Voice.
