With the latest version of XFINITY Connect for iOS and Android, significant improvements to the app’s clean, intuitive interface allow customers who are blind or have low vision to enjoy more independent communication than ever before. Enhanced with accessibility in mind, the app now harnesses the power of VoiceOver for iOS and TalkBack for Android, enabling the app to speak descriptions of what’s happening on the screen. This voice guidance provides essential context that makes navigating the app a breeze, even without visual input.

In addition to speaking visual elements, the Xfinity Connect app includes features like readable voicemail (via email) and Voice 2go that includes unlimited text messaging and unlimited nationwide calling, which benefit those who rely on visual information. Customers can also receive visual and vibration alerts on their mobile device when they receive calls, texts, or voicemails on their Xfinity Voice home phone line, even away from home. Particularly for customers who are deaf or hard of hearing—for whom text is often the primary mode of communication—features like these promise a new level of freedom in communication.

The latest and most accessible version yet of the XFINITY Connect mobile app is available now in the Apple App Store and on Google Play.
