Winter in July Comes to Xfinity TV
Winter is here and Comcast is giving its Xfinity TV customers the chance to binge-watch one of the year’s most anticipated television series, Game of Thrones. Starting July 10th and available on TV and across devices via the Xfinity Stream web portal and app, all Xfinity TV Customers will have an all-access pass to watch any and all former episodes of the HBO drama leading up to its season 7 premiere on July 16th. During the marathon week, Xfinity TV customers will also have access to a special Game of Thrones destination on Xfinity On Demand. In addition to each and every past episode, they’ll also be able to explore more than 70 pieces of extra content including season recaps, profiles on each kingdom and key characters, and behind the scenes features to learn more about the visual effects, costumes, locations, and language behind the hit series. Xfinity X1 customers will also be able to enjoy a curated Pandora station dedicated to the thrilling music of Game of Thrones and a special "first look" photo gallery on their X1 screen saver setting.
Series newcomers can indulge in Game of Thrones 101 to familiarize themselves with the phenomenon. Once hooked, they’ll have a total of 168 hours to catch up on the 60 hours of episodes before the seventh season premiere. And if they find themselves extra time, they can indulge in the other iconic shows and movies HBO has to offer.
The voice remote will make it even easier for Xfinity X1 customers to access all this great content. Saying "winter in july" into the remote will take them directly to the destination and they’ll even get a special message back from Jon Snow himself.
Already the most viewed series on Xfinity On Demand for four weeks running with more than 3.5 million hours viewed, the anticipation for Game of Thrones is building and it will all culminate next week during the week-long binge-fest.
