TV Pulse Survey - How People Plan to Watch this Fall TV Season
I love the crisp fall weather, back to school and, of course, fall TV! Comcast recently conducted a "TV Pulse Survey" that found that a majority of individuals are very excited about the fall primetime TV season. This nationwide survey also found some other interesting fall viewing trends that may surprise you;
Nearly 60 percent of respondents stated the fall TV season is important to them
Nearly 85 percent of consumers plan to tune into this year’s fall line-up when the shows air live, but usage of time-shifting technologies such as On Demand, the Internet and through digital video recorders (DVR) recordings continues to increase.
78 percent of individuals under 35, and more than 50 percent of those over 35 also plan to use technologies such as video-on-demand, digital video recorders (DVRs) and the Internet to watch their favorite fall primetime programs.
More than 65 percent of consumers said if they missed a show and knew it was On Demand, they would watch it.
I’m not surprised to find that others plan to use time shifting technology to watch this fall’s TV shows. I know with my hectic work and home schedule, I plan to record FlashForward, Cougar Town and Glee on my DVR and catch The Good Wife, Accidentally on Purpose and 30 Rock On Demand. What and how will you watch this Fall TV?
