This weekend, tens of thousands of eager festivalgoers will head to SXSW, the annual music, film and interactive event that draws performers, tech companies, brands and other talented characters from all around the globe to Austin, Texas.

For the third year in a row, Comcast Ventures will be on the ground at The Belmont providing live entertainment and networking opportunities during SXSW’s opening weekend. This year, Comcast Ventures, with support from Seeso, TuneIn and WhoSay, will host the official SXSW Comedy Opening Party on Saturday, March 12th with a DJ set from Lil Jon as well as a live performance from Ludacris. Yes, LUDACRIS.

Can’t go? Don’t worry.

TuneIn, the world’s largest audio network as well as new Comcast Ventures investment, will stream the whole show starting at 10:30pm CT on the company’s dedicated SXSW station, TuneIn Studios @ SXSW. In addition to this kickoff performance, the company will host an array of other streaming events, including Selection Sunday commentary from legendary sportscaster, Pat O’Brien, to usher in March Madness.

TuneIn, headquartered in San Francisco, has over 100,000 radio stations and more than 5.7 million on-demand programs stemming from every continent. Comcast Ventures joins other investors including IVP, Sequoia Capital, Google Ventures, General Catalyst Partners, and Icon Ventures.
