Comcast NBCUniversal Named a Top 10 Company by LinkedIn

Comcast NBCUniversal has been named to LinkedIn’s Top Companies for 2017, ranking 10th among companies where the world wants to work now.

LinkedIn’s Top Companies list calculates actions taken by LinkedIn’s more than 500 million users, and weighs three main metrics - job applications, engagement and retention - in forming their list of top companies. The analysis was run on companies with over 500 employees, according to the site, and leverages insights into both jobseekers and current employees.

Comcast NBCUniversal, which employs approximately 159,000 full-time and part-time workers, has appeared on several top workforce lists this year. The company ranked 19th on DiversityInc’s 2017 top 50 companies list, and was also named a top 50 corporation for inclusive majority business opportunities by Omnikal, marking Comcast NBCUniversal’s 12th consecutive year as a top company for supplier diversity.

In addition, Comcast NBCUniversal also ranked 4th on GI Jobs Magazine’s 2017 military friendly employer list, and Military Spouse magazine ranked Comcast NBCUniversal No. 1 among its annual Top 100 list. And on May 18, Comcast NBCUniversal was ranked 8th by the Military Times as a 2017 "Best for Vets Employers." LinkedIn cited Comcast NBCUniversal’s commitment to both military hiring and a diverse supply chain in its list.

Comcast Corporation is a global media and technology company with two primary businesses: Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal. Comcast Cable is one of the nation's largest video, high-speed Internet and phone providers to residential customers under the Xfinity brand, and also provides these services to businesses. The company also launched Xfinity Mobile to customers earlier this week.
