Of all the honors and accolades handed out during awards season, none speak more to what audiences actually liked than Comcast's Xfinity On Demand Awards. These awards honor the movies, TV series, kids series and musical artists that customers watched most on Xfinity On Demand during 2011. With some 400 million views each month On Demand — or nearly 5 billion views in 2011 — the category winners represent a true popularity contest.

And the most-viewed movie On Demand last year was...drum roll...wait for it...the most-viewed movie On Demand in 2011 was Bridesmaids. From Atlanta to San Francisco, it was #1 in every Xfinity market. "We're all so thrilled," said Bridesmaids co-star Wendi McLendon-Covey (pictured) who received an award last week. The overall most-viewed new release movies, TV series, kids series and musical artists and 2011 Xfinity On Demand Award winners are Bridesmaids, "Tosh.O," "SpongeBob SquarePants," and Beyoncé.

A deeper dive into each category reveals a cross-section of taste: Bridesmaids was also the most popular comedy; Black Swan was the most-watched drama; Insidious was the most-watched horror movie; and Black Death was the most popular indie film.

Among television series, "Tosh.O" also took the top comedy spot; "NCIS" was the most popular drama; and "Bad Girls Club" topped "Pawn Stars" and "Storage Wars" in the reality category.

In music, Taylor Swift was the number one country artist; Nicki Minaj was tops in the hip-hop category; Justin Bieber was #1 among pop musical artists; and Bon Jovi continued to out rock the rockers.
