Comcast RISE
Designed to help thousands of small businesses impacted by COVID-19, Comcast RISE will initially focus on Black-owned businesses, opening up to businesses owned by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color in November. Comcast RISE – which stands for “Representation, Investment, Strength and Empowerment” – offers grants, marketing, and technology upgrades, including media campaigns and connectivity, computer and voice equipment, as well as free marketing insights.
NBC's 'The More You Know'
This series speaks out against systemic racism and speaks up for social justice, equality, and equity. Developed in collaboration with leading social and racial justice organizations, the campaign focuses on how everyone can be an agent for change by standing up against injustice, teaching children about equity, and the importance of voting and completing the census, especially for how it impacts the Black community and communities of color.
Addressing Digital Inequities
Our 1,000+ new Lift Zones, equipped with high-capacity WiFi, are located in community centers across the country, are designed to provide connectivity and learning spaces to students who lack safe or secure home environments in this era of distance education.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Speaker Series
Designed to educate and inspire, this monthly series features scholars, thought leaders, bestselling authors, and expert speakers discussing a variety of diversity and inclusion topics from racism to allyship. Over 16,000 Comcast NBCUniversal employees have heard from guest speakers including Dr. Ibram X. Kendi, Karen Caitlin, and Eric Thomas.
